14.03.2018: Record in the field of electrification during the year 2017-18 by Central Organisation For Railway Electrification

With the inspection of electrification of Katar Singh Wala-Bathinda-Lehra Mohabat by the Railway Safety Commissioner o­n 14.03.2018, the Central OrganisationFor Railway Electrification has set a new record by electrification twice this year so far this year.

By the end of March last year 1004 route kilometer electrification was done. While the core has electrified 2091 route kilometers of this year so far. Which is more than 100% progress. Mr. Ratan Lal, General Manager / CORE said that there is still 15 days remaining in this financial year, and the Central OrganisationFor Railway Electrification is moving towards touching newheights.

With the electrification of Katar Singh Vala- Bathinda-Lehra Mohabbat section, New Delhi - Bathinda section has been completely electrified. Now all the trains coming o­n this route will run o­n electric traction, which will benefit the speed of trains, the thrift in operating and the saving of time as well as the pollution-free operation.
